this one is a 20 ga. double barrel. Caplock of course, but quite heavy for it's size.
Here's my Q.; They say to use 25 Grains of 2ff.... seems kinda light a load for a 20 ga., am I wrong in this?

I've used up to 40gr Ffg in mine so far, still pretty mild with RB and 7/8 oz shot....it is heavy!!! and I think that helps. I've not had a chance to pattern it or shoot for accuracy but @ 15 yrds it was heck on a cola can with the shot

I've used up to 55 grains 3F with 7/8 oz shot, and 60 grains 3F with patched round ball. The gun can handle it fine. I get better accuracy with 3F than 2F.

The bores on my Howdah pistols measure .627". You'll need to experiment with ball sizes. I don't cast my own, and the ones I've ordered from Track have varied in size from what they were supposed to be. I prefer a smaller ball and thicker patch, so I'd go with a .600" ball, and try different patch thicknesses to see what you prefer.
