Stupid question of the day: Is the nipple clear? Hold the nipple up: can you see through it? If not, that may be the problem.
If you’ve loaded it first you may still get movement of the leaf or grasses...What happened to the simple and "old" idea of first capping the rifle, point muzzle down at ground near some grass or dirt, fire the cap and watch for movement at the muzzle end at ground ?(obviously before loading !) "IF" there is movement of grass or dirt then the flash hole is clear, has worked for since 1970.
Yeah. It was clear. I blew through the barrel before I loaded it and had clear movement and hissing. I bought these riffles off a dealer who picked them up from an estate sale so things might have been gummed up as mentioned above.Stupid question of the day: Is the nipple clear? Maybe you shouldnt see the threads? Maybe just the tippy endy rimmy thingy.
