I'd love to take credit for the color of that rifle, but it is what it is. All I did was apply 4 coats of Permalyn sealer, sanded back between coats. After the pores were filled and the wood was baby butt smooth, I applied a coat of Johnson's paste wax. When that was dry, I buffed it out using a coarse shop rag. It really took on a nice satin sheen. Any water that gets on it now beads up and runs right off. Rick
