Those little 3oz. bottles with a pop-up spout that are sold for use in airline travel are the handiest thing around for patch lube and solvent.

These are from Bed, Bath & Beyond.

H/C police...please look AWAY...!!!!
An aside to anyone shopping for those small plastic bottles for solvents other than water..try to use ones marked on the bottom with the letters "HDPE". They are made of High Density PolyEthylene and are much more resistant to degrading over time.

I don't usually swab with the load I use, but when I do, I use a US GI oil bottle I got at a gun show. http://shop.thetacticalmedic.com/1-2oz-Military-Oil-Bottle-BOTTLE-1-2.htm

I find it easy to pour the right amount of moose milk onto a cleaning patch. Too much and I may have a misfire or hangfire.

Before that I was using something like what semisane posted. 3 pack bottle of hand sanitizer from the $1 store.

What are you talking about? Windex, transmission fluid, stuff in plastic bottles, HDPE was all used by the orignal mountain men. It is recorded in the shipping manifest of Sam Walton. Really.

I have tried many different things on my wiping patches. The secret is to use something that will remove fouling, use only a damp wiping patch, one stroke down and one stroke out with out pumping and doing everything consistantly every time. This will keep your bore consistant from shot to shot and this is important to the accuracy of your rifle.
