A piece of Nickel plated brass or brass wrapped with foil will also work.

The lock, stock and furniture are all correct to T/C. The barrel would be clearly marked with the maker's name, model and other black powder warnings. Thus, the barrel could be a replacement or someone removed all markings that were stamped into the barrel.

The requirement for black powder only caution markings was not in force before 1972, I believe.
