Their policy now has nothing to do with their contract back then. Somewhere I have my original booklet, from about 1979. I also have a catelogue No.4 around somewhere. About two years ago, TC refused to fix a gun based on their new policy, even though the gun was purchased back when. A letter on lawyer letterhead along with a copy of the original warranty and a citation to the Pa consumer protection statute cleared things up.

I bought some CA glue and glued the small crack in my Patroit. I think you said it was thin and would run very easly. You were right. LOL.I got some on the stock and had to wipe it up with acetone. After I clamped it and let it set up there was some white residue on the stock. I used OOOO steel wool and it came off with some rubbing. Then I applied some mineral oil and the shine came right back. I shot it today off the bench and got 10 shots inside a 4 inch bull at 25 yards. I think it may have got the stock tighter. I couldn't see the crack open up any. Thanks for the advise.

Excellent! :applause:

That is good to hear. Sometimes the simple fix is the best. I hope you didn't glue your fingers together... :rotf:

Now just keep your loads down to 24 gr or under. Don't let the butt come into contact with anything hard during your loading. And don't over tighten your lock bolt after you clean the pistol. It should last a long time.

Wonder what a combo like that would be worth?

Wasn't cheap. Wasn't overpriced. Was a fair price IMO. I'm pretty sure I know what it's worth, but I ain't sayin' what I paid for it. :blah:

That is great!! Glad to hear it worked out.

A way to get the glue in a crack is to go to your pharmacist and get a fine syringe and inject the glue into the crack,as warned before be careful the stuff runs like water.I have found the syringe is a little less messy and gets the glue into the crack deeper. This is just a one use deal get rid of the syringe in a safe manner.
