This rifle belonged to my father. He used it one season. He used Pyrodex in it with conical maxi balls. His legs got too bad from diabetes to even go hunting after that.
The bore is pristine after I swabbed the light surface rust out of it. It’s been in a gun safe on the arid eastern planes of Colorado.
I’m a flinter so I figured someone could get some use out of it.
It has Lyman sites on it now but I have all the parts to reinstate them. This rifle is at least 20 years old. And went hunting once.
There are some light scratches on the stock which probably came from being in a crowded gun safe with a dehumidifier. My father was meticulous with his firearms. He was also a CMP Garand match shooter like myself. Retired Navy. There’s a picture of a lot of possibles that come with it as well. There’s also a picture of my father hunting with it, with my second daughter. She has fond memories of him so don’t tell her I’m selling this rifle. She has plenty of guns and she will never shoot it.
I have no idea the true value of it so I will start it at 500.00. That could be too much or not enough. So let’s be fair. Most any offer will be considered. If I knew a kid that REALLY wanted a muzzleloader to shoot, I would just give it to him.
Money order will work or even a check if you are willing to wait until it cleared my bank. DO NOT ask me to break any laws. It’s not going to happen.
