Sure do but we moved to Pharr and shoot on the 4th Sunday of the month. Nothing fancy just good old fun shoots and lots of talk. PM me for more information.

I shoot flintlock and percussion at the PSC range in Friendswood. Just informal. There are no blackpowder matches at this range.

I also shoot flintlock and percussion at the Texas City Municipal Shooting Range. I've only seen two other regulars there that shoot BP. We also don't have a BP Match, although the Shoal Point Rifle Club has a Military Service Rifle Target Match there on the third Saturday of every month.

I use to shoot BP pistol in TC a long time ago, shot BP silhouette at PSC and shot in Pasadena when the club was going there. Shoot in Longview now, not many show up, 2 to 6.

In the DFW area I shoot CAS at the Arlington Sportmans Club.. Our range is in Mansfield and also does BP, which I'm just getting started in, on the 1st Sunday of each month at 1:30

Any shooting near Waco, TX? I would love to shoot with other people.
Doesn't the ATF still maintain a range there? :rotf: Sorry, can't help thnking everytime I hear Waco, Tx.

Several of us from all over Texas gather in Harper, Texas about 3 to 4 times a year for traditional muzzleloader hunts. Grand time.

Dunno yet as I am just getting started.. My 1st meet will be a week from tomorrow on the 6th... My rifle and all the other stuff I ordered oughta be here by thursday..

We are having a CAS practice session tomorrow since there is a 5th suinday this month with no scheduled stuff going on and I'll ask what they shoot on the BP sundays since the guy in charge of BP is also in charge of CAS..

Thanks, I have been looking for another place to shoot. I shoot in Longview, but sometimes only 2 people show up.

Anyone shoot with the Dallas Muzzle Loading Club?

Its been 10yrs but they had a good club in Waco even a 1000 yard shoot every few months and a small buffalo at 200 yds twice a month ( I think they cut down on that because of buffs getting blown to hell and back :rotf: ) Fred :hatsoff:

Richard the guys at the pawn shop sure seemed intrested in getting more ML shooters at the range they own and you have to be a NRA member as I remember it. If you look in Muzz Blast Tx has less than 500 members to the NMLRA - :shocked2: REALLY! Fred :hatsoff: we had one north of Tyler about 45 min away but havent seen info on them in a year....more great work by the NMLRA!! ( HEY THEY ALL AINT BAD PEOPLE)

Fred,

In all due respect to this thread, I will not debate the NMLRA with you here.

No disrespect, the thread is not about the NMLRA, it is about BP shooting in Texas which I would like to see grow on a local level.

Hope you are doing okay.

In Kerrville, TX April 13-18 the National 4-H Shooting Sports Workshop will be held and a dozen of us will be getting certified to teach muzzleloading in our home states. Is this near anyone of you?
