Been dealing at the Log Cabin Shop for about 35 years now.
Moved last year now they are just a 20 min. drive.
Great group of people , shop , trade fair , range in back and the museum !!

Currently on Dixon's website: "The 38th Annual Gunmakers’ Fair at Dixon’s 2020 is Cancelled : The Covid virus strikes again. It is normally at the end of July.
I have only dealt with Log Cabin on mail orders....Great people, great service. I would love to visit and see the store, especially during the Trade Fair.

As luck would have it, I'll be up in the Cleveland area soon.
Is it worth the (seemingly short) drive to visit the Log Cabin Gun Shop?
It seems like its THEE place to go spend a little money
I live in England, but always try to get to the shop, when I’m in the USA. That probably tells you, how good I think it is!

Cant say anything about the Log Cabin shop but looking over their web page they do look interesting. BUT have visited Dixie Gun works , first 1965 with my Dad. We drove from St Louis down to the boot heal of Missouri, crossed the Mississippi on the Ferry to Union City Tenn. Walking into that place was very exciting ! I believe we even got to meet Mr Turner Kirkland ! the 2nd visit was later in early 70s when again I traveled with my new Wife from Columbia Mo. to the newer DGW. great memories !

Had a table at the Trade Fair this year .A little smaller with the ccp virus. Still a very nice outing.Hats off to Lisa for putting it all together. Lucky me just live a few miles away. Miss their first of the month novelty shoots. Maybe next year.

I agree with the consensus. I love that place. I went back this previous weekend for the Trades Fair and could easily have a spent another whole day in the shop. Aside from the muzzleloader supplies, they have an excellent selection of books.
hope yiu brought jour check book and parted with some SCHECKLES?

it is simply that a business could stay in one family that many years??? you just got to love it!!!

even then you still didn't need them, but as all of us do, it is great that you for Shure got items!! and it is the nature of the BEAST!!ain't it great??

I used to do Dixons fair from the start of it always found them good would do Dixons then fly to UK same day or next tend to UK matters then shoot at MLAGB Short Range champs at Bisley then pop back doing events, gun shows and the Eastern's till about Halloween signalled time to pop down to NZ via Alberta & Washington State friends .Sort of emulating the geese ,Who are Not as silly as there billed to be! .
Cheers Rudyard
