Overloading, yep, 1oz of shot in .45 smooth rifle would have some to go weak at the knees. But let's use 4f too!

That's what I did today. 60gn was a bit to much though so dropped to 50gn.

Just four shots for two squirrels and a rabbit.
Good times.

Jess enjoyed the afternoon too.

You mean that 4f that is like 3f here? Still and all, that is one stout load for a .45, but the proof is in the pudding, which is your success. Nice job! Nice pup too!!!!
I would love to see how that patterns out at 25 yards on a 3'X3' target. I'd do it myself but I don't have a .45 smoothie, I'd better get to it!

3f doesn't flow through the nipple like this does. 👍

How is the accuracy of this .45 smoothbore, with ball and patch?
Some say in the spirit of the law here in the UK a ball should not be used, for legal reasons surrounding being held in connection to a shotgun license here.

Some say that the letter of the law does not cover ball being shot from a muzzleloader shotgun in the uk.

Those that believe the latter say it shoots very well. Certainly good enough to 50yds if after big game, if it was legal of course.
