Thompson Center Upgrade

I recently purchased a T/C Renegade flintlock and was checking through the forum for shooting tips. I found out that T/C had done an upgrade on their lock and might do a fix as part of their warranty.
I contacted T/C and was told to send in the lock and they would take care of it for me.
Got it back after 9 days, upgraded and with a new flint.
Good info on the forum and good job from T/C standing by their product.

T.C.'s warranty is what makes their guns competative with cheaper foreign guns.You get what you pay for! :hmm:

TC is one of the good companies. Some folks on this board dog'em but they have always gone the extra mile for me.
You are going to chuck that “new flint” about as far as possible, aren't you?

I bought an old abused T/C Hawken flintlock once. The lock was trashed. It wasnt a mfg. defect it was plain old fashioned neglect. I sent it to them and wanted to know how much it would cost to be repaired. Answer: nothing. They sent me a brand new lock within the week. I wasnt even the original owner and they still took care of me.

I was wondering about the T/C flints but decided not to buy one to find out. Now since it is there, I get to try one for nothing.
I have purchased flints from Track of The Wolf but haven't had a chance to use one yet.
Just starting out with the flintlock and will start doing some round ball shooting.
