If you like fatty stuff, this product is for you.

The serving size is metric (100 grm) and in standard American units of measure that's about 3.5 ounces.

I find their texture off-putting...they are a little too soft/mushy.

Vienna sausages are good. I will say that if your fishing a smallish pond like area and are careful and can keep em on a treble hook I have not found a better catfish bait. Be ready to lose 50% if any casting other than a swing like toss is used. And hold yer line, be ready to lose 50%+ of the very soft strikes as the cats seem to suck em in gently and they come right off the hook.

Did it ever occur to you “Crankshaft” that there may be vegans who read these posts? There might be vegans who are blackpowder enthusiasts as well. Why is it necessary to degrade other people to make your point? Is there just one way, and by chance, is that way your way only?

As to spam; my father served four years flying Liberators in WWII for about 3 of those years. He never allowed spam in our home at any time after the war until his death. They got a steady diet of spam, and learned to dislike it presumably because this was a steady party of their diet.
Been about seven pages at this point in to a thread about meat eating..... are you thinkin’ any vegans would be reading this far in to the thread... a meat thread;)

You don't have to be a vegan to think it's unacceptable to call a person a moron because of what he eats.

Are you a moron because you believe in the paleo diet? Ask Crankshaft, he'll know.

Maybe not here. But on other forums.....meat hate is strong. .They will troll forever.o_O

What someone eats, is matter of personal choice. I like meat, however not all meat is the same. China is one of the world's largest pig raising, and pork consuming countries in the world. Walmart imports pork (and other consumables) from China, and are you comfortable with buying food from there? I'm not and won't buy "food" from Walmart or Sam's Club.

Walmart is concerned enough about health issues (ranks less high on their concern scale than profits?) that they've recently begun this program:

Why Walmart’s Food Products Will Be Different Than Others?

The Chinese are notorious for not caring about selling contaminated, or mislabeled items to American importers. Less than three years ago, Walmart began DNA testing selected batches of meat and other food products imported from China to determine if pork of beef was really what the labels said. That narrows things down to the species these days, but does not address what the pig (or what other animal) was fed when it was alive in China. It's one thing to trust American farmers and the FDA inspectors (provided they aren't on the job due to a federal shutdown) to see that safe products are on the store shelf, but trust Chinese pork, Chinese chickens, or fish raised on Chinese fish farms? I read the labels where the product was raised/produced and some countries are on my "Do not eat from list." Walmart and China? Sorry, I'll pass.

I’m pretty sure out on some forum some where, there is a tofu turkey recipe. I might read it and a read a comment or two about it. But if eight pages in to it some one called meat eaters morons I just don’t think I would ever know.
I’m sure I wouldn’t have to dig too far to find folks that think I’m a moron. That’s ok, I don’t think I’ll melt.
Any vegan that had made it through to here please chime in. I’m anxious to hear what you think.:)
I love this forum, but not much of a hand gun shooter. So 90% of hand gun forum I don’t read. Don’t read a lot under percussion guns section.
I think a vegan who is in to history would be the same way on a meat thread.’ The heart hurts nought about what the eye hath not seen’

I agree emphatically!
I also feel it is inappropriate to make such a blanket statement about a group of people just because you may not agree with them or they don't agree with you. Reminds me too much of elementary school playground behavior...

Call your representative.
COOL . Country Of Origin Labeling , of food products.
Started by US A beef producers so you would k now where your meat comes from. The World Trade Organization determined that was " unfair " and promised repercussions. The USA Gov caved in.
Many other food items must carry COOL, but not meat.
And your undies have a label of country of orgin, but on meat, that is "unfair."

I see some folks that are not vegans being upset, but I don’t see any of the vegans complaining. I bet the first vegan that complains Crankshaft will be quick to apologize. Any feelings hurt vegans out there?

Whether one is a vegan or not is utterly irrelevant...

That all started with someone worried that vegans could be hurt by what Crankshat said. I’m thinking no vegan got any feelings hurt by what Crankshaft wrote.
So what’s worse, expressing a hurtful opinion, or being told expressing your, possibly foolish, opinion is unacceptable.
I think it was a silly thing to say, but I do get rattled when someone says you shouldn’t say something offensive. Especially when, in a case like this, no one who was targeted by the statement seem to be offended. In fact I think no vegan was harmed in the posting of that reply.

Years ago I made a snide comment targeting a group of folks and was smartly and totally and justifiably took to the shed for which I was indeed thankful. Though a camp fire with most of you would be a joy this aint one and we DO need to watch what we say. Because of the fine gentleman that set me straight I have often not posted and/or changed a post that I believe might have been offensive. We can be grown ups and say what we want and be thoughtful too!

80 % of my diet is composed of veggies so I'm nearly a vegan....not on purpose . I just like veggies . The 20 % of my diet is a variety of meats and couldn't do w/o it.

One of my daughters is a vegan because she thinks animals are mistreated when being killed and butchered. We get along fine even though I've hunted since I was 9 yrs old. She doesn't "preach" or attempt to convert others and never brings the subject up....she just goes her own way......Fred

Why is a vegan reading a thread about Spam, is my question? I like Spam OK, also like Ramen in the packages. Real Ramen noodles are quite different than the ones you eat in hard times. Vegans aren't morons, but they frequently have a superiority complex. The quiet ones are great, my good friend's son is one, but some (I have read) expect their food to be cooked in pots that have never been used to cook meat. Not someone you'd invite to dinner at your house. I eat very little meat because I live alone and cooking for one is not worth it. I've got Spam in my fridge, ate some yesterday and it was about as I remembered it. It will keep you aliv,e, but anything you eat exclusively will turn you off, eventually. I went to a school once where every dinner was a steak and a baked potato and a salad, because they were quick to fix and I got sick of it after about three or four days. GIs in WW 2 subsisted on it, Koreans love it for the same reason it's loved in Hawaii.

Does anyone else find it ironic that someone would need to explain to adults why making public blanket derogatory statements about a group of people is wrong....?
