I ordered a cast model 1835 (first model of 1841 gun series) with steel sleeve a month ago.

7-9 month waiting list. Unless he takes the money and runs (unlikely), I'll be the proud owner of a functioning artillery piece.

Speaking of which, I need to practice with some old farts. Anybody know crews in middle Tennessee?

I may be able to help with the new gun. BTW I picked up the mortar this morning and had a nice conversion with Steve.

If you are referring to my post, then heck yeah I'd be glad to get a team mate. Steve recommended the 1835 as it had the full length barrel but with 275 lbs shaved off. Good for a young owner who will most likely be working with stiffer individuals. I think that 3-4 would be sufficient to run it.

He also invited me to Pelham, which is down the road from me.
