Hey guys,
Bought this gun this weekend and tried it out for the first time tonight.I'd like to drop a deer with it.

I know not Perfectly PC but I like...I like it alot(To steal a line from a funny movie)

Judging by the size of the holes, if you hit it you will drop it. I can't see anything to not like about it.

Yes,
It's a 62 and should put plenty of Whumpum into any good sized Deer.
That gun was built by a local builder that has been building muzzleloaders for years. He is getting on" in years and I had the chance to get one of his,so I did.I've read that that type of wood wasen't used in the building of that style gun but it does make for a nice lookin gun though.

looks OK from what I can see of it. what really matters though is them 3 holes touching in the sighting dot.

Sir...I would say that you have done mighty Fine!
The ole saying "Pretty is as Pretty does" CERTAINLY FITS! And it also sure LOOKS Fine to me!
it is also really nice when ya can have one made by a local builder. This is one gun that you should hold on to! Mighty nice shootin too! :hatsoff:

Looks great.
When you didn't like it, send it over the big pond to me.PC or not PC.I take it.
:hatsoff:

Guns saw a hard life, and breakage wouldn't be out of the question. There is always the possibility that it may have been re-stocked in the colonies by a local gunsmith who just happened to have some maple on hand. It isn't unheard of........

Scotty, :)

I'm in the Southwestern end,Shelburne County.Where Do you hail from?

It is likely that the majority of existing French Fusils from Tulle or any of the other armories have been restocked, those done in maple were likely done in rather plain wood rather than the high grade curly type.

halftail thats a beauty gun eh !
do you know the type of lock he used ?
nice shootin'... don't look too favourable for the deer in your neck of the woods!!
