It is likely that the majority of existing French Fusils from Tulle or any of the other armories have been restocked, those done in maple were likely done in rather plain wood rather than the high grade curly type.

Funny,That particular piece of wood came out of a Fellers "Woodlot" not too far from here.

I burn alittle powder in the valley :) ...I,m a member at R&T Mack range in bridgetown and the North Mountain Gun Club...I want to go to Blue Mountain soon i have heard about their woods walk and it sounds fun.

Hope you make the Blue Mountain shoot....you won't regret it; it's THE BEST shoot in the maritimes bar none. Great woods walk, good line shoot, and this year there will be an archery woods walk( primitive long bows only) along with the usual hawk& knife, fire starting etc.
