Here's another I received from a friend. He's liquidating his small collection due to health problems. I have this revolver in my possession.
This is the Remington revolving carbine. 44 caliber. It cycles good and locks up good on full cock. When going into full cock, the hammer feels like it travels back a lot to achieve full cock. Don't know what the issue is if any. I dissadembled it and did find a lot of wear on the hammer cam. The bolt leg also looks like it's had plenty use. I've seen this before and the leg might start slipping off the cam. In my opinion it's going to need a bolt and hammer. VTI has the parts but I don't know if they are in stock. The hammer is $69.30 and the bolt is $25.85. Don't know what the shipping cost is and if they charge tax. Taylor's has the hammer but the bolt is out of stock. Most of these hammers have a pin cam and can be replaced. This one doesn't. Looks like it's molded into the hammer. First one I've ever seen like this. I magnified it. For this to be an Uberti, looks kinda crude. I can dissademble it again and take pictures if required. I didn't think about at the time.
It also has some nicks and blemishes here and there. Especially on the cylinder. Nothing serious.
Due to my observation on these issues. I'm going to ask $550 with shipping included. If I order the parts and replace them. I will sell it for $625. Which is what my friend was originally asking.
Thanks for looking,
Jappo
