Ok this is another "I used buy question."

I used to buy a strip casting of 3 brass under lugs for mounting the barrel to the stock? I cannot find them anymore??
Does anyone know where they sell them at now a days?

TIA

I'm making mine from .030 steel banding from work. Made the RR tubes last weekend from the same stuff. I scuffed the paint off first. The solder grabbed right on. I know you asked about brass. But, thought I would give you something else to consider.

The ones that I remember were poorly sand castings and had to be cleaned up a lot. You are better off either using your mill or make them out of sheet brass. I also have a milling machine, but I rather make them out of sheet brass and solder/braze then together for added strength.

Do you cut dovetails for them, or jus solder them to the barrel?

I cut dovetails for them into the barrel. If it's a smoothbore gun with a round barrel I will solder them on if there is not enough barrel thickness for dovetails.
