Unknown lock

I've been at this a long time, so I know the obvious. Please don't tell me the obvious. My question is, do you know the manufacture and who sells this lock? I'd like to know the value. Thanks

This appears to be a round faced English lock made by Chambers. If so it is an excellent lock.

Looks like it. Chambers has many assemblers. Assemblers usually stamp them with a mark unique to them.

I thought maybe it was a, C, for Chambers. But, maybe that was the obvious thing we weren't supposed to say.

It appears to be a Chambers round faced English lock, Track of the Wolf sell them as well as others. Cost runs from around 290 to 320 new.

Thanks for pointing out the C. I could not see it without blowing up the picture. Damn old eyes.

Again, the “C” is not a Chambers mark as far as I know - it indicates which assembler built the lock. I have several Chambers locks, all with different stamps on the inside of the plate.

I agree with what has been said. Looks alot like the Chambers on my Early Virginia. Excellent lock.

What is so "obvious" as to be offensive if one where to respond with it?
