Yep....me too. I don't use anything but real Schuetzen and Swiss powders in my guns.
No pyrodex or 777 for me.
No need for the subs........Swiss & Schuetzen is available.
I haven't used Schuetzen yet. Not available near me. I used to use all Goex which isn't the best and just started using Swiss.

I give up. I'm trying to explain that the General Muzzleloading section would be the place to talk about inline muzzleloaders because that is what it is saying when it says not specific to other firearms categories. It can't be any plainer than that.
What part of the traditional forum rules #1 & #7 are not plain to you? IF rule #7 was not in place, in-lines would likely have their own sub-forum, not a part of "general muzzleloading, BUT rule #7 is in place ,so in-lines are not a topic on this forum. If you or anyone else wants to talk about in-lines, thats fine but please plan to do so on the "modern" forum where there is plenty to learn & share about them. When I want to talk about cartridge firing Sigs, I do so on a Sig forum. Keeping forums focused makes getting information much easier.

And you can't be any wronger. Several of us have told you we don't discuss inlines here, we've explained the rules, even showed you a post where a moderator recently stated the same, yet you insist everyone here is wrong.:dunno:

I didn't realise that the site appears to be a commercial entity: one posting says that the "owner" Claude SOLD the site to the current owner, who also owns several other fora --- Latin plural of "forum" ;-).
If so, that explains the plethora of Rules and Regs, which encourage people to join the OTHER sites.

The end result is that there seem to be a good number of members who are "getting their knickers in a twist" (London Cockney term for becoming upset). For me, life is hard enough without adding to the burden.

Happy shooting, folks --- with whatever bundhook you use.

Its OK Mike. Its good to get stuff like this out in the open. It looks like there are 2 different set of rules. One at the bottom of the page under Terms and Rules and another in the MLF Announcements and Help section. I would like a simple clarification from a moderator or administrator.
This discussion has been going on on several different forums regarding traditional vs modern muzzleloaders. Let's face it - inlines are here to stay. I own several but I also own a bunch of flinters and caplocks of which I hunt with. The others are mostly for my own fun use on the range.

So your premise is inaccurate. We are not "against" inlines, nor do we expect them to go away. We had a serious problem LONG before you arrived, with inline users sponsored by a major inline manufacturer, who tried to ban our use of what we define as "traditional" muzzle loaders, sidelock antique firearms or reproductions of such, and the use of a patched round ball, or variation, for hunting. Because of that and a desire to have a forum where these same type of antique firearms were discussed, this site was created. I seriously doubt we are going to open up the site for inlines under any any circumstances.

There are also not "two different sets of rules". For them to be different, they would need to conflict, to contradict, and they do not. The "rules" to which you object are clearly mentioned when a person logs onto the website, thus:

FORUM RULES LOCATION .jpg

AND this appears ABOVE the section that you quoted, so it is encountered or passed over before scrolling to the very bottom of the page, and finding "terms and rules". What the 46 rules establish is a more than generic set of rules as set forth in the "terms and rules" section.

However, you do make an interesting observation about the locations of both. I sincerely thank you for pointing that out.

OH and in the rules that are found under Terms and rules..., there is this

6.3. The Muzzleloading Forum assumes no responsibility to monitor the Websites but we may do so at our sole discretion. Member-posted content may be removed from the Websites at any time with or without cause and without prior notice.

You may, if you like, take the 46 rules posted by Zonie as "prior notice" of why member-posted content is removed, under rule 6.3

I can see and would agree with you both that in the flintlock and percussion forums only traditional guns should be spoken of. But in the general muzzleloading forum any muzzleloader can be a topic of discussion. Even the blasphemous Traditions Nitro Fire.
No, that's your definition of the terminology. Your objections is semantics. It is the "general muzzleloading" section for discussion of topics that do not fit other sections, but the 46 rules still apply there as well, based on rule 6.3 under Terms and rules....
