Smear a generous amount of wonder-lube, bore butter, NL-1000, a rose by any other name, onto the wads, and the fouling gets softer, without the Crisco melt-down. The Crisco melt-down is why I switched to wads in the first place. I almost dropped a Remmy when it got a little too slippery with Crisco...now I NEVER have that problem :wink:

The league rule to use them (the pre-lubed wads) just made even more sense to me because a slippery gun in your hands isn't safe either, especially when 10 guys are shooting at the same time at a common firing line during a league match.

To use wads or grease is a personal decision. When an entire league uses the wads without a single incident over more than a 5 year period, I just don't know what more I can say except that I always use them. What ever you decide to do is fine with me, just be safe and have FUN :thumbsup:

I much prefer the lubed wads than the grease. BUT back in the day I didn't know anything about the wads and the manual I had said to use "grease".
