My new to me shotgun did not have a wedge key when I got it. I have looked for pictures to see what it would have originally been, without success. TOW's catalog doesn't show one that appears to be an exact fit.
The slot in my barrel underlug measures .375 wide and is stepped measuring .0625 tall on the thin side and approx .090 on the thicker/wider side. The slot in the stock is 1" long.
I suppose the best option is to order the closest thing listed in the TOW catalog and file it down.
Can anyone show me what the original might have looked like? Shape and size of the head, etc? Thanks.

Can you find the plates that are screwed to the wood. The wedge usually bares on them and not the wood.

I suppose TOW or Dixie will have some escutcheons that I can make work, although this stock doesn't appear to have had any originally. None of the blemishes in my pics are screw or nail holes. I don't have any objection to adding escutcheons though. I'm trying to make a shooter not a restoration.
