Hi All
Well I was at the local pawn shop hanging out and I happened to see some caps sitting on the desk.
Knowing the guy I said whats the deal with the caps and he had found them out back and they were for sale or trade.
So I went home and found 6 Chinese made switchblades. Had maybe 75 bucks in all of them.
I got this in trade.

The tins are full or close to it.
Did I do ok?

Actually I thought I did but was not sure
Last time I bought caps they were 6 bucks a tin

LOL I started collecting switchblades a couple years ago when they became legal in Maine.

I started with some cheapies then graduated to Italians

I find old tins of caps in sales and auctions pretty often and get them for cheap. You did very well.

Considering the scarcity of caps and the fact they want your first born for a single tin of 100, you robbed that guy.

I would like to say that's maybe 15-20 bucks worth given the rust on the tins, hope they work. Just damn sick what stuff is going for now.

Last time I bought caps for use they were $15.00 per roll RWS 1075's I believe it was the 90's

I have caps bought at auctions in boxes of misc. May have 20-30 K of them all makers. Also have that many period caps in original containers. I was a dealer 07 the first 15 years of my Retirment. I kept all primers and percussion caps as I could not ship them. Bonus pay to me for getting rid of them!

I am now gone from that Corp I had at one time owned. Caps, they still collect for free at my dump as I get rid of those hazmat problems for the town Lots go to the scouts and 4H as donations they can use.
