Ah success!!!!
I placed a washer between the stock and trigger (front and rear) and it is fixed, just had to set the front trigger take up and it works perfectly. I believe the stock has shrunk over the years, some of the other metal is sunk in the wood too. I bet the thing was stored in a dry placed. I thought my rod had swelled, instead the stock is now in a more humid place (at least more than before) and the oil I have put on the wood in the last two day has added to the tightness of the ramrod slot in the stock. I relieved the rod a little and it took care of that. I peened the rear sight so it will stay put and now it is clean. Thanks for the advise and praise.
