I use Ballistic Products Super Buck in shot shell (CF loading) and that stuff is hard!
While a lot of guy's are using it in rifles/pistols as a patched round ball, I personally wouldn't use it as ball in a revolver.
The whole "shave a ring while loading" thing isn't going to work very well and it could easily break something in the process.
That "shot" isn't meant to deform, again, it's a hard alloy.
 
Powder Inc. loading stand is very well made.

Do a search for "Tower Of Power" to find the very best one on the market.

I do not load a revolver using the loading lever, loading stands are better.
