Worked on my Kibler Colonial. Fitted the nose cap, fitted the patch box cover. Now have to cut the cover to length. Disassembled the whole thing and started cleaning up the brass. Did some draw filing on the barrel.

Sorry to hear of Mr. Walkers passing...

I did not know the man, My condolences too the Family & Friends.

He wasn’t the man I was speaking of....

I grew up just down the road a bit, and can think of many I’ve “ accused “ of being the Mayor ... lol

Most of them know which end of a brush too use... lol

For the first time in three weeks got out of bed on time (almost). Been awake for three hours and don't even feel the need for a nap (yet).

Supposedly isn't/wasn't Covid - but it sure as blazes had all the symptoms.

Hopefully the improving trend continues.....I'm way behind on my fettling.

So your going to make a .66 cal. minie ball mold out of a .58 minie ball mold? That is really cool. Will you take pictures and post them? Would love to see it.

If I go that way, yes, I will.
This is a #57730 turned into a .69 caliber paper patched for a Armisport 1842.

Mic'd out .58 as-cast minies to see which molds will fit a P53 without sizing them.

Who these days makes .58 minie sizers to fit in a press?

Suggestion on the sizer have not done this but been thinking a lot about it, (harbor freight) arbor press, a block of steel with hole bored in in the size you want to size the minie (might be a good ideal to have a machinist make this part) A ram to fit in the hole in the block, a second block with a bigger hole in it to go under the first block to catch the bullet once it is pushed through the sized hole in the first block. Suggestions or any Ideals as if this could work.

(Yesterday)
Got up early, cooked eggs, buttered wheat bread, had a banana.
Did some linen wash.
Watched "Emergency" and one episode of "Highway to Heaven." Great shows!
Called a ski resort in WV and checked on a hotel in Vermont. Not looking good for skiing right now. Might have to take the nephew ATV riding and shooting instead.
Went to the post office. Saw two ladies that are completely nutzoid over the virus. It's as if their minds are stuck in March of 2020. SMH.
Went to the gym. HAD THE BEST WORKOUT SINCE I DID P90X LAST SUMMER. Felt soooooo good to run again.
Saw old friends at the gym....felt even better to fellowship with them.
Went to a restaurant to a friend's birthday party.
Home. Dozed off on couch. Showered....might be up late.

Swim tomorrow.

Cleaned out and organized the shooting box and supplies. Haven’t gotten to work on that Investarms Hawken yet because we’re pushing so much OT recovering from the storms here. Also put a Pietta .36 Navy on layaway.

Pulled two small stumps and started on a larger one with four 6" ones left after that. Said nuts to this and called the equipment rental place for a stump grinder. Affordable and a whole lot easier.

put baseboards in the last part of the rec room, put the trim molding up in the walk in closet, got door jambs around the bathroom pocket door. Only took two years....
fitted the trigger on my .22 cal flintlock project and burned a few priming pans full during testing. no vent drilled yet
then this evening i made a jig to drill angled holes for my steel railing spindles to go up the stairs from the rec room.
got my posting message today. Officially leaving Newfoundland and heading to Wainwright, Alberta. Should be my final military move.

I've been working on re-tooling and re-organizing my shop. Sold tablesaw, bandsaw, and drill press. Shopsmith Mark 7 on the way to replace them.

Tuning up dust collection with 2 stage system. Adding shelving, and throwing out the junk. Basically re-imaging my tiny 12x16 shop.
