Take a look at any product coming out of China today. They won't last near as long as they used to. Washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezer, LED shop lights, electronic components......all junk!! When we had these products and parts made in the USA, longevity was decades. I had tv's, washers, dryers, etc. handed down to me over 20 years old and running strong!! Washer made it 6 years, refrigerator made it 6 years, bought a $1200 Samsung TV(lasted just shy of 2 years!! Auto parts - made in China!! No good right out of the box, parts that are made specific to a vehicle don't fit or last less than a year!! If China decides to quit shipping....you already see the effect....supplies nowhere to be found. AMERICA JUST GOT BIT IN THE A$$!!
China can make anything it wants as well as anyone else in the world. Their aircraft, rockets, missiles, electronics, chips, etc do anything ours will do. US manufactures and distributors are the real problem. They do not want to pay for top quality so they don't! What we get from China is not their best stuff, we get want our greedy corp owners are willing to pay for. IMHO

Well, wait a few years (likely) and Jim Kibler will have a Hawken kit offering. It's on his "future plans list".
He'll be swamped with orders for such. I'm glad he's a younger guy, so we'll have the pleasure of seeing him turn out such a product. I thought a pistol by him would be nice, but I'll gladly pass on that so that he can concentrate on a Hawken! The thought alone is interesting!

Older guys will recall the old Coldspot (baby boomer era) refrigerators that lasted 40-50 years.

You forget...we don't manufacture anything....or very little.

Kinda like the Gal that dumped HOT COFFEE in her crotch? (dum azz ) Mickey De's took it in the shorts and the SHYSTER LAWYER took it all the way to the bank. Where's the hanging tree when we need one?
Either in Santa Fe or Albuquerque, initially she asked McDonald's to reimburse her from ER expense and McDonald's refused.

It got way to expensive to make anything here in the USA. Between unions and Regulations. People forgot that a business is a business, not a charity. The business does not exist to give you a lifestyle, send your kids to school or improve your happy home. It exists to make a profit for the shareholders. Most people lived beyond their means, always had the "wants" and thought the company should continue to pay them more $$ for doing the same job. Obviously that did not work out to well.

How very, very, true! I'd like to see these freeloaders open a business and just sell their product at a loss!! See how long they stay in business!! Unfortunately, these freeloaders still have the same attitude and agenda today!!

Does anyone know if Lyman will also discontinue making round ball molds? Is that part of getting away from muzzleloaders? I haven’t seen a new Lyman RB mold for sale in a lonnnngggg time.
If you need a mold contact Larry Callahan in Missouri. He can make you a mold for just about any caliber.

She ordered hot coffee, the key word here being hot, not cold, not warm, not lukewarm...Why should McD pay for her clumsiness??
The prosecution claimed her coffee was excessively hot, thus she was scalded. She was in a car and opened the cup in the car, spilling it.

and a range that was called a CALORIC, it lasted for over 20+ yrs back in 1950, don't remember who made it ,I was only 10 yrs, old. I think the name meant heat?

The coffee was kept at 180 degrees instead of the maximum of 140 that was permitted. The McD had been repeatedly warned by the local restaurant inspectors. They kept it excessively hot so that it could stand for a longer period of time, if necessary, before being served. (This was from a friend who was a lawyer and antique gun collector.)

140* is going to burn you just as bad as 180* if you spill it on a sensitive area like she did! She was a clutz and McD had to pay for her stupidity. BTW. You can get a Starbucks hot beverage at a higher degree than 140. But the point is, if you order a hot drink, "YOU" take the responsibility for your own actions!! Period...and that is what folks today can't do.
