Oh that’s nice or are you taking the piss. I could fall in love with you as my wife hates guns and killing She married a gunny fishy hunter, you are not taking the children fishing. You wicked man. But she loves meat and leather shoes and clothes. Alister a Scottish ******* popped over and we shot some arrows with my ionX Hoyt bow Great silent killer. I took my compound to France in my old Motorhome hoping to be attacked by robbers. Sadly none turned up. Terrifying weapon ha ha. Great to meet you
Gordon, why is your pool water green??
Haha!

I spent about 6 hrs disassembling and sanding to shape a CVA colonial pistol that I did a very poor job of doing 25 years ago. To be honest, I had no idea what I was doing then, and it showed. Now, once again due to my lack of knowledge, I managed to break the Trigger Guard. So I spent another 2-1/2 hrs searching on the internet to find someone who can braze it back together.

Not got around to emptying it and give it a good pressure wash. We get ducks an herons on it in winter It’s just coming up to swimming pool weather. Filling up was kind of free , we were paying £100/ month for all our water. but they have just fitted a water meter so 5000 gallons to refill will cost me £75. It’s never covered but I thing I will have to cover it It pisses me off. Australian company now owns all the UKs water including land resiviours and lakes stupid government selling of our companies
Pool is 15 ft dia 5 ft deep we built it on 1986 quite what this had to do with guns I am not shore I guess I could use it to catch bullets. Ha ha. see you

SCORED again today......
6 roof vents to pour soon.

How do you approach these roofers? I'm amazed at how much lead you're always scoring. I want to do this too. Do you go to their office and ask? Or see them working on a roof and just ask or call around? Please share your tips and nice score!

I got these two pocket pistols all ready to take out back and shoot up a piece of sheet metal I been abusing with lead....then the rain kicked in and the winds went up to about 20 mph...

So much for that plan.

They are both .31 pocket pistols. Top is a Colt 1849 "Wells Fargo" clone from Uberti, the bottom an 1863 Remington pocket pistol clone from Pietta.

I am surprised at how much smaller the Remington is than the Colt.

I stop by every roofing job I see and simply ask the main contractor for them. Most roofers doesn't care anything about those vents. It is just something else to tear off a roof and throw away. Most usually doesn't fool with selling them for scrap since scrap prices are so low. I've even crawled into dumpsters looking for them when the roofers tells me several has been thrown into one to be hauled off to the dump.
Private roofers ( we don't have large roofing companies in my small town ) are usually the best ones to ask.
If you see an older home being re-roofed, chances are there will be a lead vent on it.

Ask away...the worse they can tell you is no.

I'm going to start watching for roofing jobs. I live in Covington KY, all the houses are very old. I have had luck finding lead weights used in the old windows at my recycler. Very soft lead. Thanks Mark!

Covington should be an awesome place to look.
Plenty of old homes there.
