This weekend I planned to make smoke on my home range. I have spent the last week trimming, cutting, dragging and piling tree branches that had all but obscured my backer frame… Saturday was family time - grandson and the zoo, Sunday church and visited 4 of 6 graveyards to tidy up around the family stones… this morning I thought yup today will be the day. Got some new cardboard hung walked back to get the gear and my in laws needed help, so off we went and on the way home stopped at one more graveyard for my maternal grandmothers family. I “almost” made it but all in all it was a good effort.

I shot my Made In USA CVA mountain rifle today. It the first Ive shot it since adding an L&R Rpl lock, I also re shaped the stock and refinished it. The rifle is beautiful and just as accurate as it was before. The L&R lock has transformed this rifle, it’s incredible! When I got done with cleaning the gun I fired up the pot and cast around 200 of each, .490 and .454. It was a great day!

Beautiful ute. We see a rare few of these over here. They are sought after by the restoration groups. Give me an honest patina every time. All the best getting her out.
