I was looking through my 'stock' pile, lol, and came across an old Virginia left hand stock I bought as a second for $60.00. It's a little rough, but enough extra wood on it whereas I can fashion it into almost anything. I have a 1650's French Lock Casting Set I bought from Chris Hirsch. The lock panel is large enough for the large lock plate. It's a right-hand lock, so I will have to remove the cheek wood and form the stock into a 1650's style fowling gun. The wood looks to have nice curl, perhaps a solid M2 or M3. In my mind's eye it gonna' come out pretty nice. Semper Fi.
