My wife came home with these yesterday. Unfired 12 gauge New Englander with changeable choke tubes.
She complains her current trap gun, a CVA Trapper is to light. IC in it should work good for 10 yard trap, Need to order a full for handicaps. Patriot is in excellent shape too.

Recently acquired a ASM 1851 Navy (in .44 fantasy) and ASM 1860 Army. They both needed milling marks polished out, action parts polished and smoothed, minor corrections to fit, stripped old cold blue and re-blued. Went to the range.

First to targets are the 1851, six shots, followed by six more.
Next two are the 1860


Last is me making smoke
Date stamp on both 1998.
Spent the night cleaning the rascals!

Last Friday was able to shot my 36cal Lyman. Had to adjust the rear site some but shot good. Using 25grans 3ff black and round ball at 35 feet then out to 45 feet. It put that ball all the way through that 1inch treated deck board and kept going. Showed me the power of black powder.

Last Saturday got out my 44cal but used pyrodex P . Shot 35gr. And round balls. Shot first 15 yards putting that ball through that treaded deck board. Then went out to 25yards put a 1/4 inch plywood it front of the treaded deck board. Still went all the way through ,then buried it self in to the ash log used for a backstop. Showing me again the power of black powder. Last three shots I used the black power with 37gr. Same results. Friday was only able to shoot 3 rounds with the BP before needing cleaning. With the pyrodex P

was able to shoot 4 rounds then was needing a cleaning.

Shot my new 1863 pocket model. Accuracy was pretty horrible but it did indeed go bang all 4 times on the first Hammer strike .

.323 rb from Wolf track and 4f Swiss 10 g.

About 75% of an empty 9mm casing for a measure.

The sprues on the rb are giant but after loading off the gun, hammering the ball home with a one lbs lead ingot, the proud sprue was a flat spot anyway.

Just received a Pietta 1860 Army today that I ordered from Midway. Nice looking pistol. Came with extra cylinder. Box it came in has a Taylor and Co. logo. However it needs a major cleaning and polishing job. Everything is so stiff and tight. Will tackle the project the end of this week as I will be stuck indoors with a big storm heading our way.

Mail came yesterday delivered a sweet 40cal tow worm, two 1/2 and one 1 inch forged buckle for my shooting bag, plus a 3x24x3/8's inch piece of curly maple for knife scales.

A pair of 1880 shotgun locks arrived from eBay uk £19 plus £4 postage I wanted a spring for a percussion lock , Yes it will fit, happy with that , lots of good bits for stock
