That was Monday. Any news?

The Doc is out now. 😎

Ya he sorta disappeared. Hope he's OK.

One of the members has TDM’s address, so he sent him a letter to inquire about his status.

Waiting for whatever results come from that, but snail mail isn’t what it used to be. The snails got slower.

Nothing really exciting, but, I ordered a can of mink oil from TOTW…. One of these days I’m gonna take a ride there. Three hour trip though one way…….
tie it into joining us in Morristown Mn. at our monthly shoots May-Oct my trip to track is a little over 5 hrs 1 way from Thief River Falls

Went out with the Woodsrunner to shoot target #2 of the NMLRA Postal Shoot. As usual, didn't do so hot. I think I will have to move to a bigger ball with the patches I have. Was using a .530 ball and .015 patches. I have some .535's which I will be pulling out to try again and see if I can do any better. I'm basically Minute of Deer, but I want to do better.
Also, it was hot out there. (making my excuses now) 🤪

got tired of scraping on the walnut Kentucky and stained it. then hung all the pieces and parts on it. next will be a finish and sights.
when i mount this rifle it falls perfectly onto my bicep with my eye seeing the full length of the barrel.
thinking of keeping this one and sending the Colonel something else!

I was admiring the strong drop of your stock butt , very nice , and across the pond the Swiss liked it too 1885 in these 7.5/53 target rifles , of course I doubt you will fitting an uncomfortable Swiss target butt plate like my two But , you photo was begging for a comment. Nice But you need a wide plank of expensive wood, now worries ,

Much love from London

Since the previous thread was shut down (locked) by our new moderator, I thought I would start one up again, as per the suggestion.
So, let's get this thread going again, and share your muzzleloading related adventures of the day!
Inlet replacement lock plate washers into Euroarms 1853 Enfield. Now it has the square wings. Also swapped out the two lower barrel wings for Palmer types. Someone had already done the uppermost one. To the ancient, perhaps an original, decrepit leather sling I have hide glued a section of an old leather belt to splice where it had separated at the very hole where the hook had been attached. Last week I fitted a new replacement bayonet. It was a JOB, taking three days of filing. The clamping ring is not top quality. Does anyone know where an original clamping ring might be found? Should I cold blue that bayonet?
