Made a small shooting bag today approximately 7x7 with a small pocket
I'm a fan of smaller bags as they prohibit me from carrying way more stuff than I actually need.
Tomorrow I'll give it a good coat of beeswax and it will be good to go.

Mrs maniac & I was invited to a small Rev War presentation in front of the local museum on the city streets of my hometown this afternoon. I set up Mrs maniac a hawk block to allow visitors a chance to sling those rascals......
Here she is in action:

I allowed anyone to try out shooting a flintlock gun ( no round balls - powder only ) towards a steel deer target
set up along the curb. I loaded up that smoothbore well over 150 times using a full pound of Schuetzen 2F this afternoon in 3 hours.

Another DAR member is showing kids frontier games of the 1700's here in KY:
The trick or treaters got their money's worth today.

I was a fun day indeed! I'm ready to do it again!

My Bride and I just finished running the Ladies’ shoot at the 40th annual OVPR fall rendezvous. Running back to the flatlands on account of that dirtiest of four-letter words (w-rk). Back to camp tonight for teardown tomorrow. Didn’t even bother to bring a gun. Still, any rendezvous is better than no rendezvous, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather.View attachment 358078
Nice photo of your bride…

I like the strap. Where did you acquire the material for it?

Shot my Frontier flintlock this morning. Schuetzen 3fg, 70 grains, .480 ball, .010 patch. Hit lots of 50 yd and 75 yd steel off hand, had a great time. Range all to myself from now until May, like having my own private range. Might set up my little wedge tent next weekend there, get some hot coffee & meat on the fire, and do some more shooting. Nights are down in the 20's now but great time of year to camp.
:)
