I made a taller front sight for my Pietta 1860 44 Sheriffs model . If this one works out, I’ll make two more.

Nice words thank you
Hello , maybe a good spot for this, I came across the ladder sight on eBay uk. I thought it was expensive at £130 buy it now . till I looked at Pedrosoli sights £250. The seller said grandfather won the 1904 Commonwealth games with it . What I did not realise it did not go in the usual place but just in front of the but plate. Seems you target shoot’s it lying on your back ,so I had trouble making it fit. It’s more like a bit of Victorian memrobillia. Anyway it’s where I want it on a 1885 Swiss rifle , never fired it, I just collect these days. Hope you enjoy

Dear moderator this is about sights for sublime shooting not unmentionables

Wish I could play my banjos mountain man style
I’ll add to that , my friend Roy sent me these two sketches of a shooting match, there are several shooters lying on their backs looking through the sight above the butt plate, the sublime position

I might get down in that position, getting back up wouldn’t be purty.🤣

Shot my Frontier caplock this morning, 4F and breezy, but had a good outing. Rang some 50 to 130 yds gongs.
