Have the uptick in gun listings have anything to do with The 2023 NMLRA National Matches in September? 🤷‍♂️

Or is this the time of year everybody upgrades their collection? :dunno:
Some members are upgrading their guns, getting the right rifle for hunting season & some are selling as retailers.
I suspect several sellers are oldtimers like myself that can no longer hunt or compete so are re-homing their guns.

Sadly, it is a possibility, if unlikely in the near future, that ML may be the only firearms that a lawful person can legally purchase. IF Newsome has his way with the proposed 28th Amendment, AND some states pass more and more draconian laws dismantling the 2A, watch sales of ML take off like a billionaire's phallic symbol.

As others have said - sales seem to ramp up late summer thru Christmas. Sometimes a slight bump at 'tax time', then taper off to a slump mid summer.

But that is only a couple of years observation. I'm sure the economy and politics have an impact also, although somewhat buffered by the hardware involved and the financial stage of life of the median forum member.

If it gets that bad, muzzleloaders will be on the list too. But pretty boy’s 28 amendment will go NOWHERE…..

It's a hobby, I collect one brand and always looking to get that next holy Grail I'm looking for. I go to alot of auctions and if I see something going for an affordable price I'll bid. Once home I compare to my existing rifles and sell the lesser of the two. Always looking to upgrade. It's also a good way to get educated on certain firearm issues ( and sometimes an expensive way).

OP,

Disregard everything you've read so far.

It's disinformation.

People are selling their guns because Covid is making a comeback and N95 masks are expensive.

Yours truly,
