If you now get a smooth round piece of metal rod or pipe , it must be shiny smooth , and gently rub warm ( not boiling ) oil into what is left of the dent using the rod as a roller , covering more than the dent , it may disappeared all together , but it will never be as strong as if it was glued , another dent raising technique is to wrap the bruised wood in several thicknesses of cotton cloth , such as a old tea shirt , and pour boiling oil over the offending spot and leave the cloth until it is well cooled . Just be your own safety inspector .
