I've always interpreted "Wonder Lube" as "It's a Wonder it can be used as Lube". There are so many better ones available that are at least as inexpensive as WL and most are even better deals than WL.

Hmmm, so if I go off and forget my lube, I can grab the tube of Chapstik out of my pocket and lube my patch with that? Cool!

I used wonder lube one time a long time ago at a match.
Couldn't remember what lube I put on my bullets so I wrote wonder lube on my equipment list. It worked great even though I've always heard negative comments about it.
Is it the same as Bore Butter?

I can't discount the positive experiences of others, but I quickly gave up using it for several of the reasons that fill any number of threads in any number of forums. I wonder if someone did a genuinely random sampling of shooters , if some pattern might emerge that would differentiate the Wonderlubers from those who choose not to use it. There are a number of possibly relevant variables that might be interesting, and a simple analytical method called (among other things) "market basket analysis" or "association rule induction" that would work well in this case.

I wonder that, but I'm not about to do it since it would detract from shooting time and it's too much like work -- which I pretty much gave up about ten years ago. But it would be a nice project for some data analysis, comp sci, or AI student to do. Then sell the results either to the Wonderlube (or similar product) vendors, or to their competitors -- depending on how it comes out. 😂

I dig Wonder Lube. Used it for many years with no problems. I don't any longer, but that's just because I ran out and use other things now. I also like the smell. Takes me back to that first TC Hawken I shot at 6 years old. No sense on earth is as nostalgic as olfactory remembrances.
