I wasn’t 100% certain where this would go since I doubt this was ever meant to be fired BUT - this is a very pretty little musket obtained in an auction. I get in there and thrown in low bids and sometimes they hit. Anyway - barrel is 34.5” and swamped (1”-7/8”-1”). Lock looks like a decoration but I did get it to function. Long term I may get a barrel of this profile made, epoxy a hardwood plug in the cave like inlet for the lock and find a lock that approximates the shape. Maybe a 20ga smooth bore project. Ed Rayl is close to here and I think he’d have fun laughing at the idea of it. Why would I do that? It’s beautiful!!! Plus it would be an interesting thing to video up. Anyway, that’s waaay off in the future since getting that barrel made is gonna take a year or two and I have projects ahead if it.
