Do y’all have any makers you’d recommend who could make me something similar to the shape of one of these stoneware canteens?

That’s nearly perfect, only if it were bigger!
Townsends website indicates that the flask is made locally in Indiana. It wouldn't cost anything but time to contact them and ask if they would connect you with the potter for a custom piece that's essentially the same thing but sized up.
 
I believe Fitz is correct. The last I spoke with Michel's daughter, she and her mother were going to continue the business. This was a few years ago but they were working with a young man so they could continue making more than just mugs and small items.
