Same here I could never just let my Crockett Rifle sit. Ole Redbone will just have to understand that. Crockett was my first PRB kill and I simply love the dog gone thing.

Last I heard my Kibler .36 squirrel rifle kit left Buffalo NY enroute to Rochester (sigh).

I'm pretty sure you'll be satisfied with it.
My .32 shoots great and it just feels good when carrying it and shouldering it.
What wood did you go with?

I shipped 3 items on the same day. One of them went back and forth from Palmetto Georgia and Knoxville Tennessee then stayed at Harrisburg Pennsylvania for 3 or 4 days.

My Colonial is standard maple, it has a good amount of figure to it, I was very pleased with it.
My SMR is walnut, I had 2 sample pieces of walnut that they sent me, I tested different stains and finishes on them, but then the stock came out way different. I'm happy with results but I didn't figure it would be so different.
It's a shooter too. Very happy with the accuracy. I'll be taking to some state land hunting next month.
It must be difficult to have to go through this. Hang in there, Stan. It might make it’s way home early next week. At the very least, my guess is Kibler will make it right, worse case scenario.
FWIW, shipping issues nowadays is the number one reason why I am reluctant to purchase anymore ML’s that has to be shipped.
Number two reason is sellers not properly listing the true condition of a ML.

Yep. The danged thing got to my local p.o. and instead of going out for delivery they shipped it to Buffalo NY 900 miles north. Grrr...
I totally understand your views on shipping ml rifles now, Ed, for sure...
My Crockett rifle certainly works for me. Its light and short enough to easily pack up and down the steep grades in these hills. I also find it easy to pack through thick brush. Its never failed to fire. Not even after being out in rain for 6 hours.
With that said, after I get my eyes repaired it will, or should, make it easier to shoot at longer distances. As it is, and has been, squirrel hunting with my Crockett squirrel rifle has been a closer up ordeal due to not being able see the front site well enough. If Im lucky, after both eyes are restored to normal vision, perhaps it will be possible to extend my overall shot distances on squirrels.
There is the possibility that this could go the wrong way as well. Im hoping not.

If thats the case then your local post office is at fault. I would be pizzed. My last ordeal was not as bad as your situation but between the shipping issue (due to a lazy delivery person that lied) and misrepresentation of the condition, it was enough for me.

Well, no squirrel hunting for ETipp today, at least not this morning. Really put my knee through a lot yesterday and it darn sure is letting me know about it today. Very steep terrain. So steep that it was difficult to start down from the mountain top without getting hurt. While doing so, I had my little equalizer clipped onto my belt. It fell off and just kept on rolling end over end until it was darn near out of sight, and there wasn’t a darn thing I could do about it but try to not lose sight of it. It finally stopped on a small somewhat flat spot.
Also, wind blowing some and overcast. I wouldn't be able to see my front sight good enough anyway. At the present time I can see treetops swaying back and forth down the hill in my woods, and it isn’t from the wind.
My guess is, due to the fact that its been full moon for a few nights (is waining now) as well as sometimes squirrels do come out and feed during full moon, that next week should be better for morning hunts.
I still would like to go hunting in the morning if no wind and no overcast.
JimK, this full moon condition as opposed to later next week would be a good comparison to put in your journal, eh?

Thanks, Tom. Indeed, I might wait until Monday to get back at it. I have allowed myself to get behind on some of my chores. Perhaps tomorrow I can get caught up on them.
Wowser, I wish the heck the temps would cool down here like that. Its been around 90 degrees here. We could also use the rain. I would gladly hunt in the rain as long as the squirrels are out and about. Rain doesn't bother this old boy one bit as long as there's no lightning nor wind with it.

I made the 100 mile round trip to my happy place today. It sounded like rain all day with the squirrels cutting the hickories. I saw a LOT but they’re up high and just glimpses. You guys know. But occasionally I would get a shot. I was fortunate to get three with five shots. Storm came in at 4:15 and I left with plenty of squirrel activity still going. I was hoping it would hold off two more hours. Still a good day.
That's great Jim. I'm glad you made a kill at your honey hole. It's nice you got to break it in. My morning hunt didn't go so well. Nice to be in the woods.
