Ed nailed er right on the button with stock placement. And when shooting from the bench, angle your torso as if you were holding it across you out body, not a square 90 degrees. With that stock design, it will give better sight alignment holding the stock between your bicep and armpit.

Well fellers I finally had the chance to hit the woods for a bit this morning. Beautiful day to be in the squirrel woods. But unfortunately nobody told the squirrels... I did see two. One was on a limb about two feet off the ground maybe 20 feet in front of me. Was getting ready to shoot and he turned and ran into some brush never to be seen again. The other was high up in the leaves and I never saw him clear enough to take the shot. In this area it is very unusual to only see two. It's the kind of place where you always expect to get shots at several unless it is too windy. Nonetheless it was great to be back in the woods after a year of no hunting. I needed that. Can't wait to get back out there.

Heck yeah Tim. Hopefully you can get out again soon. I know I want to. Found a new recipe I want to try, so I need about 4 tender, delicious greys. I'll settle for 2 though.
If nothing goes wonky between now and then I'm thinking about trying again Wednesday morning. Had a good time being in the woods and decided to at least take the opportunity for a little target practice. The little .36 is shooting like a champ. You'll have to tell us how that recipe works out and best of luck getting your squirrels. I was making beef fajitas last night. That made me think about squirrel fajitas. Planning on getting three or four greys and either par boiling or steaming them until the meat falls off. Then stir fry some onions, peppers, mushrooms, and tomato strips in a skillet. Then add the meat and cook until everything is hot. Some flour tortillas, shredded cheese, and some hot sauce should make some fine eating. Or it will suck. And if it does I'll never tell you guys I tried it...
They will be tasty. Too bad you aren't within beer run range, I bottled these up mid week (last), they have potential, but I like to give it 2 weeks to meld before I pass judgement

It's not a fluke if that's what you intended. Try some .018 patch material. As far as front sight, a little testors model paint will help.

i wish you guys could hold my new rifle and look at the red fiber optic filament I put on my front sight. It’s unreal. My shooting has improved a lot since I did it. I started with green in September. Had trouble in all the green leaves. Went to yellow. Haha, had trouble in the yellow leaves. The red has done it for me.
I coned the barrel last week. Much easier to load now.

I have been weighing mine, then

Lid . For carrying or re loading quicker, and spilling
By volume 10 spot. I have the adjustable measure that has the built in funnel that slides over and levels off the charge.
For hunting I have little plastic vials with screw on caps. I use my measure and dump in the vials.
When I was much younger and single that would definitely not be too far for a beer run. But these days, yep, just a touch far.They will be tasty.
