Boring!!! Bavarian county authority doesn't believe in ML

Get a copy of flintlocks and whitetails. At least a couple of the deer drop instantly, as in not one single step. Straight down to the ground as fast as gravity can get them there. Watch it a couple of times yourself for entetainment then forward to the people you are trying to show that BP does...

Want to hear about .40 cal for deer.

If it works for David Crockett, it should work for you to take a few whitetailed deer. His first rifle, a .48-caliber flintlock, hasn't been outside Tennessee since 1806, and now resides in the pioneer collection at the East Tennessee Historical Society Museum in Knoxville. For much appreciated...

    Keep em cold

I did exactly the opposite last week. I hunted in snowy conditions every day. Blowing snow some days, Wet snow other days. It snowed every day. I was hunting from home so at night I would lay the rifle on the floor over a heating register and when the furnace would come on the gentle warm air...

    Quality Bowie

I purchased a "Bark River Knife Rogue Bowie", Antique Stag handle. The blade is made of A-2 Tool Steel. It is a knife you will be proud of. You can also pick up a matching smaller knife and/or a patch knife to match. The price will hurt a little bit, but only for a short while...

    elk brats for all

Greenmtnboy said,"I'm glad I know how to do the ol ways." With the economy the way it is the skills of the old ways may become critical knowledge. The city boys is their suits and BMW's may be in for a heap of trouble. PJC

"Major wildlife activity date & time" charts

My chart works like this. If the wind is from the east, I go hunting. If it is a full moon, I go hunting. If it is too windy, I go hunting. If it is raining, I go hunting. If it is too cold, I go hunting. All of the above are common excuses that people have told me, Why they didn't go hunting...

    32 -36 -40 or maybe even 45?

I went through the same decision. I ended up getting a 40 cal. I absolutely love the rifle But I know I will end up with a 32 and a 45. Which ever decision you go with there will be times when you wish otherwise. I think there is a 36 cal ballet which will also give you the same weight as a 40...

    I still can't believe it!

Nice Buck. I hope people don't really feel they are boasting or showing off when they post their successful hunts here. It is sharing with people who can appreciate your accomplishments. Sharing with people who for one reason or another are stuck at work or home and can't make it out to the...

    .32 squirrle rifle

I would think that you would get more enjoyment out of the 32 inch barrel. It is closer to the length that old timers used. On custom rifles you would see barrels much longer then this with 38 inches being the minimum. 42 and 44 inches are not uncommon. Look at track of the wolf or other outlets...

Harvested a young whitetail buck on Nov. 3

Great memories to be sure. Everytime you pick up your rifle. Everytime you are in that area of the woods. When you are enjoying a fantastic meal from your harvest. PJC
