    Rebar is made from junk iron there is no way to tell what it is made from ( short of a chemical annalysis ) so it probably would not be worth the trouble. If I were you I'd sell it to the junk yard and put the money back and add to it untill I had enough for what I desired. Just my two pence...

    Where in the world did you find a .45 GPR ??? I tried to find a .45 barrel and was told that they only build with .50 and .54, I'd sure like a .45 for target and rondy shooting. Halfstock

    The area of the country has more to do with the type of metal used in the mounting southern area's re: tenn, kentucky hills = iron mounted, iron ore deposits found early, copper, tin etc. was way to costly to import. Halfstock
