The bore it self is recently polisht and looks like new .
Bud it seems to be a cast iron - defenitly not a cast steel.

Hi Arilar , this polenta , should it prevent the poweder from burning a hole in the patch ?
Polenta- is this verry fine graind mais ,? I use it fishing keeping the maggets dry.

Hi Arilar , well I have send a mail to Donald Malcom bud he replied : that it is still a PERCUSSION weapon where the sling in the picture is mounted on. :nono: so it is not to be used on a matchlock.
