    Ampco Bronze nipples?

I have one and it is holding up well. I bought it to replace a OEM TC nipple which caps would fall off of. The Ampco is a fuzz larger and no more caps falling off.

    Pecatonica River stocks?

Good information here on Pecatonica stocks. Thanks to all who have posted. I only wish I had known about their product before I purchased a Renegade stock for a ongoing project, I may have gone another direction. Oh well.

    Why 2 triggers?

I use the set trigger on my Renegade at the range sometimes and the front trigger only while hunting. Using the set trigger (setting it) makes too much noise in the woods for me. Maybe I am not doing it right? Anyway, I recently acquired a Renegade Hunter stock and I'll be switching to using one...

    HC vs Hornady

Thanks for the tip about Eddie May in Chattsworth Ga. I pass that way often. I was poking around in a old tiny gun shop in my TN town the other day and discovered four dusty 100 rd boxes of Hornady .530 RB's on a back wall shelve. They were marked $8.65 each. They are not there any more!

    acetone pre shoot swab?

I don't use acetone on my guns but I hope that those of you that do, use rubber gloves when using it. In another lifetime I spent a lot of time in boatyards where acetone is used in striping and cleaning gelcoat wax from boat hulls, decks, etc. It is an excellent solvent for preparing fiberglass...

Thanks for all the helpful replies guys. I did find an ebay source that could furnish the small quantity I was seeking and had free shipping. I'll keep the info I received here handy for my next foray into lube making. Thanks again.

No Tandy anywhere near me in Florida. Good to know about the one in Chattanooga. If I don't find any nearby, I'll stop there. We have a place in the hills between Madisonville and Tellico Plains.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the suggestions! I have been to Jo Ann fabrics and Michaels, neither had any. I am in west central Florida now but heading to east Tennessee early next week and was hoping to have a brew to take with me. There is a Hobby Lobby near me. I'll check them out in the am.

Where do ya'll get yours? I don't cast (yet) so I am looking for a small amount (2oz) to try in a lube. So far I have tried local grocery stores, pharmacy stores, arts and crafts stores and a health food store without success. TIA

I'll second that. More often than not the floor walker when asked for .54 will say, here use this, it will be almost as good, and then point to the .50 stuff.

    Ignition Issue and other questions...

Could you elaborate on this statement? I have read elsewhere that the T/C nipple is the shorter of those being mentioned and as such, offers the flash a shorter travel. I am not trying to start an argument, just asking to sort out the differences between the nipples.
