    Just got a 45 cal Numrich swivel barrel rifle......hammer spring is REAL weak ,but, works........can't find this gun listed anywhere not even the Numrich catalog......like to find a source of parts.....if any one could tell me where to find parts for this gun ,it would be appreciated.

    Ball size for 1860 pietta 44 cal?

    I was at a very well known BP shop and they recommended 451....now, I'm thinking ,I should use 454 to make sure ea cyl shaves some lead to avoid a chain fire. Thanks for the responses.

    My wife is a Newfy.....friends of her family just pulled a case of 20 percussion rifles up from the ocean ( caught in the nets)....all still in a wooden crate and look in really nice condition...appear to be Civil War era guns......they have photos on facebook.....found them 150 miles out N.E...

    Got the Conestoga in 1955.....paid $25 for it....I also had had a nice full stock Penna rifle...flintlock.....paid $90. for it in 1956....I know of an auction in 1950 around here,where a nice Penna rifle went for 0.50......those were some days.

    How To Age Metals

    I have a CVA Hawken with some God awful gaudy brass furniture.....I'd really like to just find a way to replace it all with pewter or German silver. oes, anyone know how or, can tell me where to find info on aging the different metals,ie, brass, steel, etc?
