GPR Headin' to the Range - Any Hints?

The screw is 2.5x8mm. I had a difficult time finding one but the local hardware store gave me a name of a local company. It really helped the trigger! There is a thread in this forum with the information.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I am completely revising the way I clean and store my rifle.

    Rust Problem on Plains Rifle

I've tried all the remedies I can read about on the forum but am still getting rust on my 50 cal. I clean with soapy(not hot) water, dry using many patches until they come out clean and dry. I then soak a patch in Ballistol and give the barrel a good coat. When I check it again in three or...

    Great Plains Set Trigger Screw

My Great Plains Rifle has too much creep in the trigger. I know I read where I can change out the set screw and someone even listed the size screw I need. Evidently I wrote it down wrong (5.5X8mm). Can anyone verify the right size?

    Finally a successful shoot

It is great fun when it goes boom! Not so much when it doesn't but thats the beauty of this sport.

    Finally a successful shoot

After a lot of help from everyone, I finally got to shoot my T/C Renegade. What a blast. I didn't hit well but it was more of a shakedowm cruise. Based on your suggestions, I contacted Dutch Schoultz and ordered his program. (He is a great guy!)

    Proper Patch Size

I just replaced the barrel with a new one designed for RB. This should fix the problem I hope.

    Proper Patch Size

Thanks for all the great responses. I love this forum and the help you give. Maybe one day I can contribute something besides questions. That may be a long time coming

    Proper Patch Size

I was using a short starter. That is what has me baffled. Others are using the .018 with no difficulty. Not only couldn't I get the ball in, I almost killed myself getting it out. I had to hook the end of my range rod over a brace in the ceiling of the shooting shed to extract the ball...

    Proper Patch Size

 I took my TC Renegade 50 cal to the range. I used 49 cal Hornady RB and a .018 pillow ticking patch lubed with Hoppes solvent and patch lube. The problem was I couldn't get the ball to go into the barrel more than a couple of inches. I never was able to get one seated over the...

    Patch Lube Question

 I guess I didn't read all the fine print before I made this post. First I posted in the wrong place and then I don't have $100. (I just paid Uncle Sam so now I am really broke.) The only thing I could afford after buying everything I need to get started in BP again was free advice...

    Patch Lube Question

I am getting back to BP after a long absence. Back in my early days we lubed our patches with anti freeze. I have read about every post on the subject in several forums and nobody mentions this at all. Any body out there using this today? I will be shooting 50 cal round ball.
