Which Indian-made fusil de chasse is best?

For just a little more I would buy an american made gun. TVM or others would be a better use of your money. You can get a good used gun as well. just my thoughts

    Reg. season hunting

Only hunt with flintlocks. Hunted in a driving rain yesterday and the gun went off fine after the hunt when I loaded up to come home. I have not used a centerfire in years.

    haft length

Sence is right..shorter for throwing. It will look better and work better for camp chores with a longer handle. Thats not really a belt ax to me so I would sand it down and keep a longer handle.

    Smoothbore loading technique.

I do it one step at a time, never tried all at once. I use blanket wadding or wasp nest and do just fine with squirrels and other small game. I dont plan to change the loading procedure I use as it has worked for me this long.

    from me to me

I look forward to all your post and this one was a joy to read. It's a good feeling to know others around the country enjoy a simple day in the woods as much as I do. Reading of your adventures always makes me want to pick up my flintlock and head out for a walk in the woods. I hope you continue...

    TVM fowler

Shot and looked at several Tip Curtis guns, own and shoot three TVM guns. Can't say one is better then the other. Both build a good gun for the money, can't go wrong with either...just tell them what you want.
