    T/C set-trigger screw?

    Anyone know the size?

    44 or 45

Is it a custom or factory barrel? Sounds like a .44 to me, .45s typically use a .440 or .445 ball.

    Lyman Trade rifle?

How well does it spark and what was the trigger like before the spring change? I'm so used to set triggers, the single trigger was the only thing I didn't like about the rifle.

    Lyman Trade rifle?

I saw a Lyman Trade rifle in fantastic shape in a pawn shop today. Anyone have one and what are your opinions of them?

    School of the Longhunter.

I would love to go to one of these, but that is the same weekend as the Alvin C. York match in TN.

    Reboring a rifle barrel

That could be Ronald Driesbach from Ohio (I think). He passed away a couple of years ago.

The Alvin C. York over the log match is this weekend in Pall Mall. Don't know of any rondys in the area.

    chunk gun shoot

Yes, it is shot prone at 60 yards with your rifle resting "over the log" or on a "chunk" of wood. Targets are X-center cards. It's a black powder, patched round ball, non adjustable sights match. Shoot the center of the X out and you have what is known as a spider shot. The matches are scored...

    RObert Crockett Long Hunter Day

Where is this held? Unfortunately, it's the same day as the CLA show at the Museum of Appalachia.

    Alvin York Shoot

After all the snow and ice we had, I finally got to practice the other day for the first time. Where I shoot is pretty much a mud bog at the moment.

    Jamestown Ky ,CLA

I went and had a very good time. Mel puts on a great show.

    Wayne Jenkins

I hate to hear this. Wayne built me one of his famous .48 Supermag barrels last year. I really enjoyed seeing him at the York and Round Bottom chunk gun matches.

    Territorials in Alabama

What types of matches do they have? Looks like it would be about a 3 hour drive for me.

    Alvin C. York Memorial Shoot

After practice ended, I had a 3 shot triangle group and two shots to the right. I put the first target in the center of the triangle and my shot hit right beside one of the two shots on the right. I missed the scoring ring completely. Next shot I moved the target to the right and hit about 3/8"...

    T/C New Englander...

I had a New Englander at one time but never tried to find out when it was made so I can't help with telling how old it might be. If I didn't have a local source for black powder, I'd use Triple 7 over any of the other powders. I've used it in a couple of rifles and it shoots good and chean-up...
