    Cabela's Hawken carbine...

This morning at the gunshow a seller had a Cabela's Hawken carbine for sale for $100.00. I checked it out and it was loaded and has a couple of small hairline cracks in the lock panel, one at the top and one at the rear. He asked if I wanted it and I told him about the cracks and he said he'd...

    York Shoot

I've practiced more than I usually do, I'll have one good session then one bad one. The way I figger it, I need to have a bad session the last practice session before I head to Pall Mall. The way my luck will run, I'll shoot great and then go to the York and shoot everywhere but the spot I...

    Chunk Guns

Paul, you'd better be careful giving out secrets like that free of charge. I tried what you said the other day and after 6 shots my total was under 4 inches. I ran out of patching material and was almost out of daylight so I didn't get the full 10 shots in. That may be a good thing for me...

    CVA Blunderbuss

I bought an apparently unfired flintlock .69 CVA Blunderbuss at a gun show this morning for $50. It is almost completely perfect, there are two wear places in the stock where it's sat in a gun rack. Anyone have one and know what size flints to use in it? I haven't decided whether or not I'll...

    T/C Tree Hawk .50 Questions

I just got back from shooting it and all I can say is to tell your friend to expect big fun from such a small package. I had a blast shooting it. I'm used to set triggers and it doesn't have them, so I'll have to get used to the trigger on it but other than that everything went well.

    T/C Tree Hawk .50 Questions

I don't like the feel of synthetic stocks at all and think it would be a cool project. Getting around to it is another story.

    T/C Tree Hawk .50 Questions

I just bought one a couple of hours ago at a gunshow for $85.00. It's getting ready to come a thunderstorm so I wont get to shoot it today. I bet it's going to be really fun to shoot such a short rifle. If I like it as much as I think I will, I may wind up ordering a stock blank and turning it...

    Anybody shoot "over-the-log" matches?

I saw you a couple of times during the course of the day. KanawhaRanger and I talked a little both Friday and Saturday. A friend had tried to get me to shoot during the first relay but I've always shot the second down on the end near the trees with John Braxton and some KY boys. After what the...
