    I tried blowing it out with air but it didn't work. A little bit of powder did the trick though. Now to pin the brass piece on the ramrod. Any tips for that? Thanks for all the suggestions. Glad I got it out ok.

    Is than anyway to remedy a gad between the lock and the stock. I don't want powder getting down in between there. Maybe some wood needs removed under the lock?

    I have a T/C Renegade percussion .50 caliber and would like to make it a flint. Could I get a new breech plug from Track of the Wolf and do it myself or would I need a new lock and barrel? Also would a .50 T/C Hawken flint barrel fit?

    I don't even know where to start now. Still getting less than desirable spark. Sparks are hitting forward of the pan. Flints still get beat up. Frizzen is hard to open. Not sure about how to make the pan bigger or lighten the frizzen or polish the internal parts. I got a lot to think about...

    It hasn't been tampered with or misused and the original owner still has it. I'm pretty sure it is the older style lock on it. Wish I could get it working again by Christmas.

    I'll try the leather pad too. It's worth a shot at this point. Maybe the frizzen is rebounding fast enough that I can't see it happen, but it ends up in the fully open position. For some reason I don't think that is the problem, but hey I've been wrong before so it certainly could be.
